Since June 1, our new head chef Danny started at The Alternative. And a lot has changed. Which includes cooking style, presentation. 👨🏼‍🍳

Danny enthuses, “I’m a big believer in artisanal cuisine. So at The Alternative, we strive to make everything ourselves. We enjoy the challenge and are constantly working to refine our products and make them better.’

At 14, he started working in dishes and that’s where his passion for the hospitality industry began. Grew up in Haarlem and worked as a cook at many fine businesses in the city and surrounding areas. From an early age, he wanted to be a chef and did everything he could to gain as much experience as possible.

And now to work in our cozy Hillegom with a good kitchen team and owner mimo who is already giving a lot of confidence and is extremely happy with this step.
